INDIANOLA to CUERO EXHIBIT through October- "During the course of 16 years, a piece of beach front property owned by Samuel Addison White was transformed into a bustling seaport on the Texas Gulf coast. Scores of German and other immigrants took this path to lands they bought or claimed in Texas. Commerce to the West was an integral factor for this growth. A few hours of bad weather during two Gulf storms proved detrimental to the developing town, but the connection to Cuero had been made, and it had long ranging effects. The Museum’s exhibit for the remainder of October concerns the Indianola to Cuero connection. See this on Tue - Fri from 10-12 and 1-4 or by special appointment 2 weeks ahead of time.
