Please join us on Thursday, March 3, 5:30-6:30pm, for "Our Treasured Heritage: Ever Ancient, Ever New—The History of Nazareth Convent," by Sister Amata Hollas. The presentation will center on the arrival of the Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament in Victoria 150 years ago. Part of their story features the old Nazareth Convent, which was built on the lot where Martin de Leon (founder of the city of Victoria) and his family had lived. The lecture will take place at the Museum of the Coastal Bend, located at the corner of Red River & Ben Jordan streets in Victoria (on the Victoria College campus). Admission is pay-what-you-want. Amata Hollas is a Sister of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament and resides at Incarnate Word Convent in Victoria, Texas. She is the archivist & secretary general for the congregation.
