KIDStory Saturdays!

Saturdays at MCB this summer, explore the stories of kids in the Coastal Bend from prehistoric times through today. Participants will gain insight into the daily life of a different group of children -- indigenous inhabitants, French colonists, Spanish missionaries, and early ranchers. Best for kids (and kids at heart!) ages 5+. All supplies provided. Suggested donation $5/participant to assist with supply costs. Pre-registration not required.

Aug. 6, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. A Day at the Dig Site: Visitors can take part in archaeology activities that help us discover Texas history -- dig and screen for artifacts, make a projectile point out of soap, create pictographs and petroglyphs, and more!

Aug. 13, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Texas Ranch Life: Visitors can take part in activities that would have been part of a kid's typical day on a Texas ranch -- create a brand, rope a cow, and make butter in a mason jar.
