All ages are welcome at the Westerner on Friday, August 5, from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. "Go Western Dance Community" is hosting a fun time of music and dancing and an evening with friends (new and old) with the popular Texas 361 Band. If you do not know how to dance, this is the perfect place and time to learn. NO PRESSURE! It is $20/couple at the door and there is no charge for ages 14 and under. If you prefer, ask about purchasing a Season Pass for an even greater money-saving deal.

If you have not been to the Westerner lately, it is a hidden gem when it comes to venues in the Victoria area. You will be pleasantly surprised as it is beautifully remodeled and includes a 3,200 square foot beautiful oak dance floor in a spacious 10,000 square foot building that comfortably seats 500 to 600 people. There's history here, too, as it has been graced by many legends in its day (Louis Armstrong, the wildly popular Willie Nelson, and Grammy Award-winning band, Asleep at the Wheel). Interestingly, they hold the title for “the oldest beer license in Victoria” for 51 years. Now THAT’s something to celebrate. Let us continue their tradition of creating "unforgettable memories since 1927".

Beer, wine coolers, soft drinks, set-ups, limited snacks, and coffee will be available for sale; however, feel free to bring your own bottle and any snacks/food you wish. Unfortunately, ice chests are not allowed. If you would like to celebrate a special event (i.e., birthdays, class reunions, anniversaries, etc.) while you dance, feel free to bring cakes, cookies, cupcakes, your own party supplies, and all your friends and relatives. Why spend time cleaning your house, mowing your grass, cooking, fretting about the weather (or worse, paying for a venue), etc.? Consider paying their entry fee or bar tab! Your guests will thank you!
