February 13 – Colored Pencils (Beyond The Wire) - Practice drawing eyes! We will use value and color to create realistic looking eyes.

February 20 – Transparency - Painting Within a Painting- We will learn about composition as we put an image within an image. We will also use color and value to complete this project.

Virtual children's art classes are held on Saturday from 10 am to 11 am and can be viewed by following our Facebook page at The Nave Museum. Parents/Guardians may pick up their free children's art kits before or during the weekend of that particular classes' medium. Art kits are available at the museum during regular operation hours, Thursday-Friday from 12 pm to 5 pm, and Saturday-Sunday from 12 pm to 4 pm. The museum is closed Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. You may call to try and arrange a pick-up time on Tuesday or Wednesday during office hours.

FREE in-person art classes will be offered every other Saturday at the Nave Museum! Classes are taught by our Education Coordinator/ Art Instructor Claire Santellana. All materials are provided free by The Nave Museum. CLASS SIZE IS LIMITED, so please call 361-575-8228 to reserve your child's spot now. Face coverings are required, and social distancing will be observed.
