The Calhoun County Quilt Guild, which includes members from Victoria, Palacios, Corpus Christie, Cape Carancahua, presents our 2019 Biennial Quilt Show:Friday, February 15, 2019 9 am – 5 pm Saturday, February 16, 2019 10 am – 4pm Bauer Community Center, 2300 N. Hwy. 35, Port Lavaca, TX 77979 Admission is $5.00 for adults per day– Children under 18 $4.00 Our location is handicapped accessible We are a non-profit organization and support our community through quilts for our Veterans, The Harbor, Habitat for Humanity, Animal Rescue, College Scholarships, Nursing Home and Trinity Shores Walker Bags, and so much more. We will have: • Over 50 judged quilt entries and wearable arts and tote bags for judging • Several entries from our Rising Stars, our new young quilters• Our Quilters Market will sell new and gently used sewing room articles• Vendors from around the state will have sewing-related items for sale• A Treasure Chest Auction will be selling tickets for great items both days • Tickets for our beautiful Ocean Odyssey Quilt, designed and created by the very talented ladies of our guild. They are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00 – no need to be present for the drawing Saturday afternoon• On Friday and Saturday we will have a scissor-sharpener expert for a nominal fee (only scissors and knives please)• Grapevine Restaurant from Victoria will be selling delicious food, homemade desserts and beverages for everyone to enjoy!Please come out and see what our artists have created and what you might be interested in creating.
