Spring 2019 will mark the 35th anniversary of Victoria Ballet Theatre! We will celebrate the way we began, with a full-length production of “Swan Lake.” The ballet will be staged by renown ballerina Nao Kusuzaki, formerly of Houston Ballet, who will also be dancing the lead roles of Odette and Odille. Of all the great classics, “Swan Lake” remains the quintessential ballet, the one that defines the standards of a company, tests its dancers and ennobles the spirit of the audience. This romantic fable of ill-fated passion, dreamlike transformation and ultimate forgiveness is set to Tchaikovsky’s glorious score. With breathtaking choreography and a visually magnificent production, the fabled lake of the swans rises into view, inspiring awe for generations to come.
