Win the Fight! It's amazing what soup in an artfully created bowl can do! Save the date for the Annual Victoria Empty Bowls, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. Victoria College Student Center and Fine Arts Building. The proceeds from each sale made throughout the day provide critically-needed financial assistance to agencies fighting hunger in the Crossroads area. Will benefit the Food Bank of the Golden Crescent, Christ’s Kitchen, Victoria Christian Assistance Ministry, Victoria County Senior Citizen Center, and the Victoria College Visual Art Scholarship. Inspired area potters and Victoria College art students to make bowls to be sold and filled with the soup creations of local chefs and restaurateurs. All of the proceeds remain in the Victoria community. Masterfully created pottery for sale, demonstrations, entertainment, much more. Bowl price is $15 and includes soup, bread, and drink donated by area restaurants and caterers. For more information about Empty Bowls, contact Sherri Pall: 361.582.2590.
