Get ready, and get set, let’s celebrate! Spring Break is coming and so is the Children’s Discovery Museum’s Grand Reopening Celebration! We invite you to join us on March 11, 2017, the Saturday that kicks off Spring Break and more significantly, the Saturday that kicks off a new chapter in CDM’s 15 year long history. 51 years ago, Victoria icon, Playhouse Cinema 4, opened its doors to the public to show the latest flick, and now the Children’s Discovery Museum has retrofitted this historical landmark to transform it into a house of play. 15,000 square feet of indoor space has been renovated to host new state-of-the-art exhibits, including the Discovery Lab, the Art Place, the Circus Tots, and various exhibits from across the country on a rotating basis. Complete with a Media Room, a Demonstration Kitchen, and a grab-and-go café, the newly designed museum is sure to delight children ages 0-99+. At our Grand Reopening Celebration, our hearts and our parking lot will be full as families explore bubbles, face painting, activity stations, live music and more while dining on food from the Golden Crescent’s favorite food trucks. The exhibit halls will be abuzz with science experiments, cooking demonstrations, collaborative art projects, and more . The fun starts at 10AM and lasts until 5PM, so feel free to come and go, or come and stay for the whole day. Family Memberships will continue to be available and Camp Registration (for both Spring Break and Summer) will be open, so come find out what all the buzz is about on this very special day.
