14th Annual Night In Old Pearl City - Dinner, Dance, More!

For 14 years, the Pearl City Dance Club has been hosting an event called “Night in old Pearl City”. It is an annual event celebrating Pearl City’s heritage. It has become one of the most popular events in the area, bringing attention to the historic significance of the Pearl City, Hochheim, and Yoakum communities ,
The 2016 celebration takes place on Saturday, November 19, which is the Saturday night before Thanksgiving. Location is at Turner Hall, Pearl City, Texas, Hwy 111. W of Yoakum, (5245 St. Hwy 111 W)
The day includes a tour of the Yoakum Heritage Museum open on Saturday afternoon featuring the Christmas Tree Forest and a Polka Music service at Holy Cross Lutheran Church at 3:00 featuring the Polka Spirit Band. In the evening, there will be a dinner and dance with the evening festivities including door prizes, bottle grab, military salute, and a silent auction.
Music will be provided by the very popular “The Red Ravens” from El Campo
The proceeds for this year’s NIOPC will be benefiting The Yoakum Hospital Foundation for help in building medical space for all residents of the Yoakum area. Over $34.400 has been donated to various charities over the last 14 years. featuring your favorite polka, waltz, and country music. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
